A regional knowledge exchange on knowledge management (KM) and communications (comms.) was held during August 23-25, 2016, in Bangkok. The event involved participants from 10 countries and 5 additional (non-UN-REDD) organizations.
This regional UN-REDD Information Exchange Meeting was dedicated to bring together Communications Officers from all active UN-REDD National Programmes and selected other initiatives in the Asia/Pacific region in order to achieve several objectives:
- Exchange lessons learned and experiences on communications and knowledge management approaches/work about REDD+ and REDD+ Readiness to diverse audiences (Day 1),
- Deliver training on both web-based and traditional communications (Day 2), and
- Exchange ideas/proposals for improved collaboration with Communications Officers from other organizations (Day 3).
On the second and third day, participants split into two groups, those with a main interest on KM and Comms, and those with interests in other technical areas. On the final day, an on-line evaluation was conducted.
