Internships with UN-REDD Mongolia National Programme (MNP) offer university students, students in a similar educational programme or university graduates the opportunity to acquire direct exposure to the work of UN-REDD Programme and Government of Mongolia. It is intended to primarily enable recent graduates to obtain practical experience to complement their prior studies, or to supplement development-oriented studies. By working under the supervision of a UN-REDD MNP staff member, interns may gain a more profound understanding of United Nations development assistance.
The objective of this Internship is to provide support to UN-REDD Mongolia National Programme. UN-REDD MNP is supporting the Ministry of Environment and Tourism to improve forest management, primarily through Reduced Emissions from Deforestation and Forest Degradation. UN-REDD Mongolia National Programme is implemented by the Ministry of Environment and Tourism, and supported by three UN Agencies under UN-REDD, namely UNDP, FAO and the UNEP.
- Description of duties and Qualifications
Under the supervision of the programme manager or an assigned programme staff, an intern shall provide assistance the following objectives

- Financial issues
|UNDP internships are performed strictly on a non-remunerative basis. The intern must make his/her own arrangements concerning all expenses associated with the internship, including living expenses and travel costs. Candidates must have medical coverage.|
- Career opportunities
|a. The internship is not connected with employment and does not give rise to any expectancy of future employment.|
- Duration of Contract
|The minimum duration of the internship is 3 months and maximum 6 months.|
